The MyUCAT strategic application guides are designed to eliminate confusion and provide clear, reliable advice on which medical and dental schools to apply to - helping you maximise your chances of receiving an offer at a university suited to your data. In the past, reliable and comprehensive information like this was hard to come by. Since we first launched the guide a few years ago, we’ve been overwhelmed by positive feedback from students, schools, and widening access organisations. Now, it's back - better than ever. The next edition, for 2026 entry, will be released in September 2025!

These guides are regularly checked by our team for factual accuracy. They are the most used MyUCAT resource out there and are relied upon by a variety of leading UK schools and widening access organisations. Unfortunately, a number of duplicated versions of this guide are now found on Google and the websites of other companies. Unlike ours, many of these contain several inaccuracies and are not kept up to date. In one instance, I recall a typographical error I had personally made and quickly corrected. However, our copied error remains in place on the website of another company and this could mislead parents/students. As a result, we advise against using such resources. If you are unsure about any of the information presented here, we would also recommend visiting the relevant university websites, contacting university admissions teams, as well as viewing entry requirements published by the Medical Schools Council.
